I guess people really experience different things watching the same drama (GF gave MGIAG a 10, which was a mere 7 despite my seunggi-loving heart and soul). Ive been watching since full house days but i got so bored lately because shows are trying to be cool and different but this show, using the very same trope that got me hooked ten years ago, managed to end refreshingly.

I love watching actors grow role by role, and these two had such a fantastically timed growth spurt in the same drama opposite one another. So often writing feels labored or directing diverges because they aren’t in sync, but here every song cue, every sound effect, every handhold, felt like it was taking us to a deliberate place, and that the writer-director team was always in control.
