The boys had left y/n and I the dorm for the day as they had a “very important thing to tend to” meaning they would be harassing Filch…again. Here we lay, my head propped against pillows, y/n burrowed in the crook of my arm, her head on my chest. The Hobbit held in my left hand as I read out loud to her. It was one our favorite things to do in our offtime. But in which chapter did Sirius particularly stand out? Sirius had a strong grudge and hatred against Barty Crouch Snr.

“That’s exactly what it is.” Remus replied, smirking. Sirius and James nodded politely, gleaming at their favourite professor as she rolled her eyes in annoyance. Right as she turned her back, the young boys immediately resumed the race to the great hall. The quickly dissipating loud footsteps caused the professor to sigh deeply before she returned to what she was doing before. The loud sobbing made the knocking on the door practically inaudible.

Remus had to go home for a couple of days, some family emergency or another. She’s honestly a little concerned about his family, what with the number of times he’s had to go on impromptu visits home over the six years they’ve been at Hogwarts. Severus’ theory for the disappearances jumps into her mind but she pushes it away. Even if it is true, that is Remus’ business to tell her and the last thing she wants is to think about these days is Severus. Sirius rejected these values, leading to conflict with his family.

She’s starting to feel a little hopeless about her ability to actually work this out. It’s not that she isn’t making progress, but even as the list narrows she doesn’t feel hopeful. She’s crossing off all the Gryffindors, sitting at a table in the common room with Mary, but with every name she crosses off the lack of information she has itches at the back of her neck.

“I don’t know.” you muttered, voice dead as you kept your gaze on one specific spot, avoiding her eyes at all cost. I mean you did know about his furry little secret that barely anybody knew of and you accepted it. However, Remus being the insecure little angel that he was determined not to let himself fall for you. Valiant was his attempt as both of you eventually ended up falling for each other. After quite a while of uncomfortable shifting on Sirius’ part, he finally managed to figure out how to actually hold the little child.

Remus unwraps another piece of chocolate and holds it out to Sirius who opens his mouth obligingly, not moving his hands from Lily’s lap where she is still steadily finishing his nails. “His girlfriend might take issue with that,” Lily replies, laughing as Sirius glances between them with a look of exaggerated horror. She wrinkles her nose at the endearment as she runs upstairs to fetch the girls’ shared tray of nail polish. “Not to mention that ‘mon amour’ loves to manhandle me, just take charge you know? I’m not usually one to let someone else take the lead but exceptions can be made.” He winks and fans at his face. “I’m pretty sure it’s something about being able to grab me by handfuls of my luscious locks,” he clutches the air like a Shakespearean actor delivering a dramatic monologue.

Sirius Black III

“Mr Black, Mr Potter,” she eyed both of them cautiously, examining their messy robes and untied tie. It’s a well known fact that Sirius usually wouldn’t be caught dead in the library. Even if he does step beyond the elusive doors he won’t stay. This time he has a bulging bag strapped over his shoulder and a drink in each of his hands, obviously prepared to stay for a while. When Flitwick calls out the page number to turn to, all four boys tap their wands to their books, Remus mutters a spell Lily doesn’t recognise under his breath, and hell is unleashed. The books simultaneously start screaming in a way Lily has only read about happening in the Restricted Section.

Proud 30 y/o fangirl sharing my love of all things Ben Barnes. ~Despite your different houses, you and Sirius are just the closest couple around. ~Being the only Slytherin in the Order of the Phoenix when the first wizarding war comes. ~You and Sirius knowing each other because you both came from ancient pureblood families and are drawn to each other because you both aren’t fond of your families values. He can sometimes develop a loathing for a person with no particular reason.

Severus never really made her feel wanted, needed definitely, necessary to an oppressive extent, but never wanted. It always felt like he really was looking for better than her, someone ‘pureblood’, a Slytherin, who needed him like he needed her, and she could never give that to him. Remus, and the other boys, wanted her friendship. Obviously she knows there’s hidden depths to him, she’s realised that about all of the Marauders. The people she thought they were through Severus’ perspective don’t even come close to the warm, compassionate friends she has come to know.

Sirius was weakened following his encounter with Lupin’s werewolf form and could not protect himself when hundreds of Dementors guarding Hogwarts arrived. Harry and Hermione had followed Sirius and found him lying unconscious and surrounded by the hooded creatures, he attempted to perform the Patronus Charm but to no avail. The Dementors nearly succeeded in sucking out Sirius’s soul until a powerful Patronus resembling a stag warded them off.

He eventually looked up, giving the rest of the marauders a lopsided grin which they all returned. From that night onwards, all 4 boys started to disappear on nights of the full moon every month to somewhere no one else in the school knew about. Right when he was about to sit down, his piercing grey eyes met yours ever so briefly before looking back down to the table. Then, with eyes slightly widened, he looked back up again. Both of you stared at each other, as if both of you were analysing each other.

She goes to reach for the next shelf and her foot slips. It takes her a moment to realise why James and Peter aren’t there until she remembers that they were banned from this Hogsmeade trip for detention. If Lily hadn’t known better she would have thought they’d been trying to get detention with how obvious they were.
